What is Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival?
Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival began in 2004 as a way to celebrate the positive influences Latinos have had on our state and local communities. This festival unites all of the Latin cultures that are present in Iowa through a celebration of arts, music, dance, food and other entertainment. It has grown to become the largest Latino festival in the state and the largest ethnic event in Iowa.

What if I want to be a volunteer?
Volunteers are vital to the success of the Latino Heritage Festival. We have a role for anyone who wants to help, whether he or she is an individual or part of a group. Volunteers help behind the scenes, set up and take down for the festival, run children’s activities, take admission tickets, serve at the beer tent, answer questions and much more.
Volunteers receive free admission, parking and a volunteer T-shirt.
